    Elementary 8:00am to 3:30pm
    Middle School 8:00am to 4:00pm

  • Does Clay offer Before and After care?
    Yes, we offer Before Care starting at 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. After care is offered from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Is there a fee for Before and After care?
    Yes, the 2009-2010 annual fee for before care is $900.00. The cost for after care is $1,800.00.

  • Is Clay Academy a Charter school?
    No, Clay Academy is a private Christian school.

  • Do the students wear uniforms?
    Yes, our school colors are black and gold. Clay uniforms can be purchased at Absolute Uniform, 928 S. Cedar Ridge, Duncanville, TX, 75137. For questions feel free to contact them by telephone at 972-572-9191.

  • What type of curriculum is used at Clay?
    Clay Academy teachers use multiple teaching strategies including, higher order thinking activities and multiple intelligences to actively engage all students in the learning process. The teachers draw their lessons from a wide range of resources including: A Beka, and Bob Jones.

  • Are all classes taught on grade level?
    No, not at all. Our teachers are trained to assess each child's needs and to challenge them to reach their full potential. It is very common for our children to be performing at several grade levels above their public school peers.

  • What makes your school distinctively different from other private Christian schools?
    Clay focuses on the whole child-spiritually, socially, physically and academically. The student to teacher ratio is 15 to 1. While our curriculum is biblical based, it is equally challenging for college-bound students. The Bible foundations course is taught on a daily basis. Chapel services are held weekly where character traits are reinforced with biblical principles.

    We have been in operation since 1998.

    Tuition varies by grade level. For the 2009-2010 school year, the cost for Pre-K4 is $5,910.00. The cost for K to 1st Grade is $6,060.00. The cost for 2nd to 5th Grade is $6,500.00. The cost for 6th to 8th Grade is $7,050.00.

  • What types of activities are offered at Clay Academy?
    Clay offers a wide range of opportunities for its students including: ballet, praise dance, choir, basketball, volleyball, girls scouts, and art.

  • Does the school provide transportation?
    Clay Academy does not offer transportation at this time.

  • Does Clay Academy offer financial assistance through scholarships?
    At this time Clay academy does not offer financial assistance.

    Yes, Clay Academy is accredited by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

  • Are all students tested prior to entering Clay Academy?
    Absolutely. Clay Academy is a college preparatory school. Our curriculum is designed to challenge the brightest minds. Students entering Clay Academy must score in the 80 percentile or above.

  • What if my child is currently behind academically from their present school?
    Clay Academy serves the college-bound student population at this time. Remedial or special education courses are not currently offered at Clay Academy.

  • What if my child has some behavioral challenges?
    Clay Academy has a low tolerance for student behaviors that significantly interrupt the educational process. Students with 5 or more discipline referrals in a semester are subject to expulsion.
